Great Achievement of the Day: Launching a Donut into Space!
9 years agoDreams are funny things. Some people dream of climbing to the top of Mt. Everest, others of winning a Gold Medal at the Olympics. A pair of Swedish brothers also had a dream. To put the first donut in space.
And on April 9, 2015, in Askim, Norway, they attached a lovely sprinkled donut to a weather baloon and filmed the entire 32km journey from launch (lunch?) pad to touchdown.
In April of 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space. Fifty-odd years later, he has been matched.
By a sprinkled donut.
